Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

When I export FS Build plans to PMDG 737-600/700, I end up with top of descent (TD) points that are TOO CLOSE TO THE DESTINATION airport.
This results in steep descents and excessive speeds requiring the use of airbrakes all the way down.

I am using the same aircraft and weights in PMDG as those used in the FS Build plan.

Some one in Flight Sim forum suggested I edit the settings for rate of descent speed in the FSB_aircraft.cfg file for PMDG.

Any suggestions?

Just the opposite, the Point of Descent calculated by FS Build is more logical and accurate than that calculated by the PMDG NG 737 FMC.
My problem is that what I see as calculated by FS Build changes after I export it to PMDG NG 737 and load it into the FMC. I guess the answer is that the only thing that the FMC keeps the same is the actual route. The rest such as speed, altitude, top of climb and point of descent is changed by the FMC, despite being the same aircraft with the same weight. I can live with this.

My, what a pleasent way to ask a question.....

I have the same problem with my PMDG 737 descending to late. It's the fault of the FMC rather than Fsbuild.

The best solution to moving the TOD point to a more realistic place is by entering a descent winds/altitudes forcast and even then you'll still more than likely have to use the brakes.

With the wind set correctly you'll probably find the TOD point moves to where FSbuild said it should be in the first place!!!

If you want more help on descent planning you should search the PMDG forum as it's more a quirk of the 737.
