My FSX flightplans are stored in a library called C:\DOKUMENTER\FLIGHT SIMULATOR X FILES (my XP is a danish version so 'program files' is 'programmer' - and 'documents' is 'dokumenter').

My FSX.exe is in:

C:\PROGRAMMER\MICROSOFT GAMES\MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X

My fsbuild2 cfg file is now:

I do not get a 'results box' displayed after the build of the flightplan. I have the flightplan shown in the upper window and the plan on mapo shown in the lower window. No 'result-box' comes up.

What is you operating system XP ... Vista?

I have to use my "username" (vaughan) in:
C:\ documents and settings\vaughan\my documents\ flight simulator x files

that is where (in your case) the ekch-engm.pln would be saved on my system.

You do not use your username?


start fsbuild
at the top, select "export to"
Click on FS2004/FSX

a check mark will indicated it is selected

do not select (no checkmark) at FSX(xml)

Build your plan EKCH ENGM

It should be exported for you to the correct directory

Was a "results" box displayed indicating where the plan was exported to?

Go to Options, Settings and save it

Exit Fsbuild

Search your hard drive for the file EKCH-ENGM.pln

Where was it? What directory

You are really a friend, Vaughan. Now I found out one mistake. I build the plan BEFORE I checked the export format FS2004/FSX. Now my library is:

C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\MOGENS\DOKUMENTER\FLIGHT SIMULATOR X FILES

But now I get the message:

Unable to create FS2000 file C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\MOGENS\DOKUMENTER\FLIGHT SIMULATOR X FILES\Pilots\EKCH-ENGM

OK,
I do not know why "pilots" is in the path.

Create any missing "folder" in the path ... Did you put it there?

Post here the Fsbuild2.cfg file as it is now.

But now I get the message:

My cfg file has this:

the line above says to create the correct plan for you but put your correct path names in ... do not use mine.
delete any other similiar line for fs2000 etc.

save it and try your plan again. See if you get error message.

In the meantime I read in another thread Ernie wrote, thet the path should be the root of FSX. When I try that, I only get the message 'Cant create FS200 file c:\Documents and settings\Mogens\Dokumenter\Flight simulator files\EKCH-ENGM - this time without the \pilots\ - but still no export.

I cant understand why a programt build for FSX should give such problems!!! Have to go to bed now. Read you answer tomorrow. Untill now thanks for your help.
