Also you may want to reduce the Max cruise altitude listed for the ERJ in the .prf file if FL380 is too high for you.

And of course you can always manually override any cruise altitude be entering a cruise altuitude in the white cruise box, and rebuilding the route.

Thanks Ernie, The prf didn't have a max cruise altitude specified,so I added
one. I set it for FL300,the flight plan now shows less gas used and i get there
16 min quicker(20 min quicker at fl240).
