Tried to plan a flight, MYNN to KMCO with "ZQA BR65V ZFP BR62V VRB BAIRN2" taken from FlightAware. Everything is set up and looks okay on the map (I'm now using cycle 1101 and have rebuilt the databases again), I click on the build button, FSBuild gives the exported to message, GateKeeper starts up fine, but I see the following:

All coordinates between airports are N0 E0. I tried to reproduce, but couldn't at first. Quickly figured it out, it works fine without "Build from Route waypoint Table/Grid" checked. But check it and you'll get the capture problem. I've always used that setting, because I regularly delete waypoints from the grid that are too close to the departure airport for example (I use the default ATC).

Edit: I'm about to get underway (with a good flightplan, so build without the above option) and the PMDG 737 FMC says the first waypoint (ZQA) is 7462 NM away?! Is that to N0 E0? Even though it is the Nassau VOR/DME. Could there be a glitch in the Navdata that's causing this?

Edit: in the FMC I deleted ZQA and put PEACH on top, the second waypoint. The FMC says that is 7448 NM away and complains about insufficient fuel, LOL! I've checked the .rte file and it looks okay to the untrained eye (though it does say "Generated by Fsbuild 2.3").

:?

Last edit: switched to the QW757, loaded the flightplan, no problems and unusual distances. Showed fine on the default GPS receiver as well both times by the way. So I'm thinking there are two unrelated bugs? One with the "Build from Route waypoint Table/Grid" option and one with the PMDG .rte file.

Thanks Ernie, it's working fine now. Hope to fly tomorrow and do some more planning and flying.

Hello Ernie,

could you please include the latest AIRAC from Navigraph in your updates if there will be more?

So we don't need to update the cycle each time after a new release of FSBuild. Do I need to rebuild the Map Database after each update from your last build although I haven't rebuilt it with cycle 1013?

Cheers,

Axel

new version seems to generate some unusual routes occasionally.

example autogenerating route from EGBB to EGPD generates a route with no airways but just direct to

i.e it generates EGBB SAB ADN EGPD

if I turn off the exclude prefered dep/arr and force the sid TNT3D/3E so do a autogenerate with EGPD TNT3D * EGPD I get pol UP18 BALID EGPD - Noticably if I take the exclude prefered dep off and just do straight autogen it will remove the SID still and produce EGBB SAB ADN EGPD

A real world route for this flight would be

EGBB TNT3D TNT N57 POL N601 GRICE P600 ADN EGPD

But other than manually entering the route in, I cannot get FSbuild to build something similar, seems all short routes it struggles with. I know FSbuild wasnt always perfect before at getting all routes right, but it didnt seem to do this kind of thing before...any ideas?

Regards

James

Hi,

I got following problem but also occured before 2.4 at some airports.

I autogenerated a flight from LEPA to LEBB and each SID includes a waypoint called D0150 that is about 2000nm away. When inserting another SID, the same long track is drawn. It only happens with RWY6L and R not with 24L and R.

Cheers,

Axel
