Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

Hi
I have followed the instructions for use to the letter but am getting the Unable to export warning message. I have attached a doc file with the relevant screenshots for your information. FSX is installed on the D drive and FS Build is installed on the C drive. Does it make a difference? Can you help please?

When you installed FSX did you rename the root FSX folder? Mine is on drive E, but the folder created by default is FSX, not Flight simulator X. Are you sure that's where your FSX.exe file actually resides, because if that path is wrong all your other paths will be wrong too. I run FSbuild on drive C and it works fine from there. Also export to the Level D 767 and PMDG 747 and j41 ok.

You haven't said, but can you create and export FSX plans ok? If you can then your root folder path is correct and there is something else going on but to me it looks like a problem with your root FSX path.

Also what operating system are you using? Win 7 and Vista have file permission issues that may also have a bearing on your problem.

Let me know if you still can't get it working and i'll try and trouble shoot it with you.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I installed FSX using the folder name 'flight simulator x' on my D drive, so it seems to be pointing the right direction. I have successfully created an FSX flight plan, see my atached pic. I am running Win7 64-bit. DEP and UAC are all off.

mmm, strange, . Looking at the error messages displayed the paths to the level d and pmdg folders seem slightly different from mine:

As you can see on mine I get the full path name to the relevant folder and flight plan, on your error message your not getting the full path. Can you confirm the exact path to your level d and pmdg folders?

One other thing, are you running the program as administrator, might want to try that to if your not already and your file paths are ok.

Here are the path names copied from my PC;

D:\flight simulator X\Level-D Simulations\navdata\Flightplans

D:\flight simulator X\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS

I have run it as Administrator but it's still not working.

That's fixed it. The cfg file hadn't shown the correct path. I've changed it and it works. Now for some happy flying. Thanks Ernie and Steve for your help.
