Okay I just created two routes by entering the departing airport, Victor routes, waypoints etc. However there is no OPEN ROUTE function in the menu and the only way to open my saved route is to enter the departing airport and arriving airport. Couple of questions. Where are my routes saved (I read somewhere that they were in the root directory of FSX but I cannot find them)? I even did a search for one of the saved routes (KMIA-KCAE) but couldn't find it. Why don't my saved routes appear in the ROUTES folder and how can I open them?
Thanks
Alan

Every Flightplan you build and export is logged in Fsbuild.

Go to the FlightPlans/Categories tab..

Set the the 'Logged Routes' category, and a list of every flight Plan you have previously built will display, in the order of last to first.

Just click on the one you want, and it will be pasted back into the Flight Plan box. Then just press the Build button again, and you have another copy of that same flight you can export where you like.

If you save a route, they are placed in the 'User Saved Routes' category(filename: fsb_user_fp.txt).

You can make this your default flight plans category by editing the fsbuild2.cfg file

[FSBUILD]
...
DEFFPCATEGORY=fsb_user_fp.txt

On the next start, you'll see all your saved flight plans displayed in the flight plan table grid.

You still have access to all the other categories via the Categories tab. You can also add new or custom categories by editing the fsb_categories.cfg file.

Regards.
Ernie.

Thanks Ernie, I went into the folder as you mentioned and I only see one route that I created (KMIA-KCAE) and not KCAE-KGSO. Also in the User Saved Routes and Logged routes folders there are ones I never saved. How do I clear out these folders?
Thanks
Alan

The routes are logged everytime you build a route, whether you save it or not.

For the saved route, you must have saved them, else they wouldn't be there.

The only way to remove them is to go into the .txt file are edit them out.

fsb_user_fp.txt
fsb_logged_fp.txt

Ernie.

Ah -- okay I remember now that I was playing around with things and didn't realize it saved them. Thanks for the info.
