I tried to re-enact a polar route after watching Just Planes Air Canada flight ACA015 from CYYZ to VHHH.
ACA015 flies east bound over Greenland to Iceland to Russia to Mongolia then China down to Hong Kong
When I plugged their route from flightAaware into FSbuild it routes Westward to North West Canda, Alaska, Russia China, Hong Kong
Why is that?

Thanks so much for the info.
That is also why I did not understand the route. If you watch the video they are sure flying North East bound towards the North Pole, but if you look at the plan filed with FlightAware it is more west bound.

The route I orginally copied from flightaware (Dec 19) was not accurate. I went back and got another day flight (ACA015; Dec 21) and as per Ernie recommendation it works like a charm. It is east bound and amzing scenery over Greenland and as close as you can get to the North Pole. Just enter the North Pole fix N90E000 on your FMC and see for yourself
