Hi great program been using it for years.

Having problem with the display of Googlemaps.

FSB2.4.0.18
Win7 64 Bit
Ie9

Everything is created and generated correctly the fsbgooglemap.html file is created and if I click on it I am asked about allowing blocked content - yes and it will display in the browser window but inside FSB (It displays the route only with out waypoints)

I assume it is some sort of windows/explorer update that has changed the allowable content that can be displayed as I also assume the googlemaps window is just an html viewer of sorts.

It used to work.

Any help would be great

Thanks

Scott

Just for clarification - are you saying that the tags are not being displayed with the FSB googlemaps window or in IE9, or both? They display fine for me in FSB, but not in IE9 (which may be because IE9 doesn't know how to render the js that creates the tags or doesn't have permission to talk to the rendering server).

Hi DJ,

Inside of FSB there is no rendering of Googlemaps at all - it just remains blank when I look at the Tab.
The fsgooglemaps.html file is generated and if I look at it in ie9 there are no labels just the map.

Did dyou select 'GoogleMaps' in the 'Export To' menu ?

If you don't do that, no map is generated.

For a check view the FSB server's folder, all the googlemap exports are sent there, to ensure the map
loads correctly (with all the necessary scripting tools) and is not prevented so by local browser restrictions.

http://www.viras.org/fv/uploads/

Its given a random page number, and uploaded to the server, so your version of FSB only opens its generated map file, and not someone elses. So by default FSB is reading your route from this folder.

If you can't see the routes on any of the html pages there, then the problem is not with FSB but your browser settings.

Regards.
Ernie.

Ernie (and others),

thanks for taking the time - its not a showstopper but any help would be great.

I have Googlemap export selected

I am getting a local save of the output (no labels) saved in my FSBUILD directory (Right side browser)

On the FSB side there is nothing being displayed in the googlemap window below the route, it says it has successfully created fsgooglemap

If I right click and save shortcut it offers to create a shortcut to the viras.org html link but if I go and look at it is blank, and explorer asks me about running scripts or activex controls

when I go to viras.org I can see other peoples routes (without labels) but not the one specified in my fsb

The picture below

LHS - FSB window after route creation and right click save as shortcut
RHS - local save of fsgooglemap.html

could it be a router issue blocking access to a port or similar?

Thank
Scott

This is one of your problems. The labels are created using javascript (.js) files, for some reason your
browser/System is preventing that script from being run. So no labels display for any route.

Your route is not being uploaded to the server. Something is blocking it, the file opens but nothing gets uploaded.

Could be.

You could try setting the ftp mode to Passive in the fsbuild2.cfg file.

[startup]
...
ftp_mode=passive

That can deal with some firewall blocking issues.

Ernie.

ftp_mode=passive

seems to have fixed it Ernie - thanks

I will carry out some more checks and let you know.

I can only assume it is my new router/modem as it was working fine before with the old one.

Thanks Again

Hi
I have read all the posts about googlemaps and I seem to have the same problem just a line on googlemap no other information.
1. I do have Export to GoogleMaps selected.
2. Under options and setting EXport To I have GoogleMaps selected
3. I have added under startup in fsbuild2.cfg ftp_mode=passive
4. I also notice the route is way south of the normal airline route?
5. Tried to attach fsbgooglemap but it was rejected by server "not save"? attached jpeg file.

How to check further help would be usefull.
Thanks
