Hi,

I have been having a minor problem with FSbuild/AS2012 &
before that ASE, for a while now.

After I create and send a plan with FSbuild, I can't locate
the plan to import into AS2012.

The only way I can import the plan is by loading, building then saving
the plan in FScommander (FSbuild sent the plan to FSC OK)

This in turn then sends FSC's plan to "C:\users\My Name\My Documents"
where I import the plan from.

There is obviously a direct way for FSbuild to send the plan the above folder,
but I can't figure out how to acheive this.

Could someone please assist me or suggest something.

Thanks in advance,

Paul.

Paul
Save your FSBuild plan as a FSX (XML) flight plan to My Documents/Flight Simulator X Files. Then import the plan from that directory into AS2012.

Hi Brent,

Thank you for your reply. I assume you mean to just
check the FSX (XML) tag in the "Export To" section,
from the top menu bar.

When I do this, the build results box shows the following:-

UNABLE TO CREATE FSX.PLN FILE C:\USERS\NAME\DOCUMENTS\FLIGHT SIMULATOR X\FILES|XXXX-XXXX.PLN

BTW I should mention that FSbuild is running on a network & FSX is on the "Z" Drive.

Thanks Again,

Paul.

Hi DJ,

Well I seem to be getting somewhere now with your advice, although
the bit where you say FSbuild dosen't know where FSX is, I am not
sure of.

All the routes FSbuild creates can be found by all the addon aircraft I
have installed in FSX,but thats another story.

I have created the destination folder:-
C:\USERS\NAME\MY DOCUMENTS\FLIGHT SIMULATOR X FILES
On the Computer running FSbuild.

This now works when I check the "FSX (XML)" tag in the "Export To" section
from the top menu bar.

The only problem now is, after FSbuild is restarted the "FSX (XML)" tag
is unchecked, even after pressing the "Press Save Config Options" button.

How do I get FSbuild to save the tagged selection?

Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.

Paul.

Hi Paul
Glad to see you're making progress! All of this is in the manual (somewhere)!!

1. Select Options along the left hand margin and then go to the Settings tab which is located along the bottom of the map.

2. Scroll down to the Export to section and select FSX GPS and anthing else you want.

3. Press the "SAVE CONFIG OPTIONS" button, close FSBuild and then restart. FSX (xml) should now be selected as a default setting everytime you start FSBuild.

Note that all the options that you want FSBuild to have every time you start FSBuild can be selected on this page (Default aircraft, export options, winds aloft, weather, etc.) but you must press the "SAVE CONFIG OPTIONS" button and then restart.

Cheers,
Brent

Brent & DJ,

I am sorted now,and as you no doubt are aware, I am not very
computer literate :-)

The reason FSBuild was not saving the check mark against "FSX (XML), was because
I hadn't checked "FSX GPS" in the "export to" section
under options.

I wasn't aware that "FSX GPS and FSX (XML) were basically one and the same. (Dumb or what)

But as I say, everything is working as it should now & I am very happy.

Once again Guys,Thank you ever so much for your time & your help
I really did appreciate it.

Cheers,
Paul.
