Hello,

I have FSBuild V2.3 with the prerelease of 2.4 (2.4.0.17, Build 266). Yesterday I updated to AIRAC 1103. The installer had the AIRAC updated correctly. But this Update is ineffectiv in FSBuild: it shows, that AIRAC 1013 is effectiv, in the Help screen. While planning my routes I can't use only old datas, too. How can I remove this "bug"?

Best regards

Maximilian

Maximilian,

Now that we know you do have a problem .. next step would be to tell exactly what it is?

Have you seen any other posts in this forum with your exact problem?

I was curious about this problem, and checked my FSB help file and like the poster, my AIRAC did not reflect what I had downloaded. I reinstalled the current AIRAC cycle 1103 and the help file reflects that now. I also did a a DB rebuild and everything is fine with FSB. I think the key is to allow the AIRAC installer to do the work in placing files where they are suppose to go.

Hi Bob and Max,

Did you by any chance install the AIRAC while FSBuild was running?

regards,
Igor

Hi,

I have reinstall the AIRAC now and take a DB rebuild, but nothing is changing. While installing FSBuild was not running. Have anyone any other Idea? Or can it be a problem with the prerelease? I'm really disappointed of FSBuild due this problem. I have bought it few days ago. The features are sounding good, but without the current AIRAC it is nearly worthless.

Regards, Maximilian

Maximilian,

I wonder if your problem is with your PC (OS), the Navigraph downloaded data or FSBuild?

I use Navigraph cycle 1102 .. no problem.

Max, here are my observations. First when you install the AIRAC make sure it is going into the FSB location when you install. If you have done this, can you post the FSB folder contents here on this forum. I would like to compare you FSB contents with mine. I know that something is not going into the correct location.

When I first started to use the AIRAC data I had some file called Nav-Data Backup, that cuased FSB to report the wrong info. Let us know when you have done this and lets see if we can find where you bad info is coming from.

I have a problem with FSBuild because the AIRAC from Navdata are correct installed in the FSBuild folder. Second, I have overwritten the files in the NavData-Backup folder with the current AIRAC. All AIRAC files have the release date of the current AIRAC.

In my FSBuild folder I have a file apts.txt

In your file, what is the AIRAC cycle?

  • cycle_info.txt
  • DailyNATracks.txt
  • ints.txt

Only explanation I can come up with is your Airac files are not in the same location your program is using.

Negative, both are in the same location: C:\Program Files\FSBuild Or could the problem be that it is the Program Files folder? It's Win Vista...

Are you starting it from a shortcut ? If so make sure that shortcut is pointing to the correct folder.

There doles not appear to be anything with the 1103 Airac update for the 2.4 pre-release, I have it myself, no issues here.

Ernie.

Negative, too. I've checked the shortcut link. It's to the correct folder.

Maximilian,

"I wonder if your problem is with your PC (OS), the Navigraph downloaded data or FSBuild?
I use Navigraph cycle 1102 .. no problem."
****

Other pilots use cycle 1103 OK.

So, FSBuild is ok, Navigraph is OK .. That leaves your OS (Vista).
Is your Vista 32 or 64 bit?
Did you do a computer upgrade yourself?

IMO, nothing should be in the "Programs" folder. It "belongs" to Microsoft.
I have FSBuild here:
C:\FSbuild

Also, just for info:
The last Navigraph "update" to FSBuild was 2-23-2011.
So, Cycle 1102 (rev 3) = cycle 1103 (rev 1)
