Hi all,

I have FSX running on a desktop and an trying to run other flightsim related stuff on a laptop on the same network.

So!!!..........

FSBuild 2.4.0.20, AS2012, Plan-G - on the laptop

FSBuild:-
In Options-Export_directories I set FS_HOME to "\\coolermaster\fsx". coolermaster is the computer name of the desktop, the FSX root folder is C:\FSX on it.
In Options-Settings I have FSX GPS ticked, SAVE CONFIG OPTIONS button pressed.
Export To... menu shows a tick against FSX(XML).

But...

When I press AUTO GENERATE I get error - "Unable to create FSX .pln file: C:\users\pwafer\documents\Flight Simulator X Files\GCLP-EIDW.PLN". Surely FSBuild should be trying to generate "\\Coolermaste\users\philip\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\GCLP-EIDW.PLN". "Philip" is my login name on the desktop and it's "pwafer" on the laptop.

Laptop OS is Win8 64bit, Desktop is Win7 64bit. FSX folder is shared, \documents\Flightsimx files folder is shared. I've tried writing a txt file from the laptop to the ..\documents\flightsim x files folder and that works......

Any ideas gratefully considered.

Okay.........

So I did some more digging and came across a workaround in one of the tutorials - "FS2004_PLN=". So my fsbuild2.cfg [MS FLIGHTSIMULATOR] section now looks like this -

[MS-FLIGHTSIMULATOR]
FS_HOME=\\COOLERMASTER\FSX
FS2004_PLN=\\COOLERMASTER\USERS\PHILIP\DOCUMENTS\FLIGHT SIMULATOR X FILES
ACTIVESKY=C:\USERS\PWAFER\APPDATA\ROAMING\HIFI\AS2012\WEATHER

Save fsbuild.cfg, shut down FSbuild, restart FSBuild and it now works........

FSBuild now reports successful writing of the Plan to the FS2004_PLN path.
