I've had the problem a few times now on separate airac cycles. Over Europe there are tons of airways that you're only allowed to go one way on. FSBuild isn't taking that into consideration and is building faulty routes using airways it's not supposed to. For example, I generated a route from EGPF to LKPR and it has me going east on airways T281, UL604, and UZ93, but if you look on the actual hi enroute charts at skyvector, it indicates you can only go west on these. Unfortunately I never really notice it until I'm in flight and I'm just glossing over the charts.

One time I actually filed one of these faulty plans on Vatsim and didn't even know it was faulty until I was enroute and the controller had to give me some new directions! Heh. So, is there something I am just not doing correctly? Some option I am supposed to check?

Once upon a time, pre 2.4.x, FSBuild allowed you to define single direction airways (see the 'Data Files 2.pdf' document). Now that an AIRAC is used it isn't clear that is still possible since no direction data is in the airways file. Ernie will have to weigh in on this one.

The feature was definitely there pre ver 2.4, when we were providing our own Navdata.

We probably broke it when Fsbuild was converted to support Navigraph Navdata, its something I can look into fixing.

But really even then the pre 2.4 implementation of it wasn't perfect. The autogenerator was intended to provided a route between 2 points a flightsim pilot can fly, not really a validated ICAO Flight plan.

Your best bet really is to use a site like vatware.com where they keep a database of routes flown on Vatsim. You then can simply copy and paste the route from vatware into Fsbuild's Flight Plan box and press 'Build' instead of autogenerate.

Some of the Vatsim ARTCC/FIR sites also keep a list of their preferred routes that you can also copy/paste into Fsbuild, and just press 'Build' to export them to FS.

The latter is really what most Fsbuild users do, when they want to use a real world flight plan.
