Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

When I build a flight plan after having selected my Cessna C172R as the airplane I am getting a flight plan that includes FL120 AND FL150, clearly not within the cabability of that aircraft.

Then you need to specify your desired cruise altitude in the "Cruise" box in the Flight Plan section of the main screen.

I have specified a cruise altitude of 6000.

What template are you using for the Cessna? None is included with FSBuild so far as I am aware; however, when I specify a flight for the airbus with a maximum altitude of 6000 feet, that's what I get. How about showing a screen shot of FSBuild with your generated flight plan showing?

Ernie, I specify the 6000 in the box at the left where it says Cruise. The 6000 is there in all but two waypoints.

I think I know what may be going on... would you please post your flight plan? If you are using SIDs or STARs that have required altitude constraints at certain waypoints, it is possible that those constraints are overriding your desired maximum cruise altitude. The simple solution is to check your plan to be sure that you are capable of the required MEA at every point and/or can meet the altitude requirements of whatever procedure you are attempting to use.

I have checked and in fact the SIDS/STARS option was turned on. When I unchecked that option the flight plan was exactly as I would expect. I thought that I had turned that option off but obviously not. THink you for the reminder. I am trying to get everything up and running again after several months not flying due to an illness and am starting out with the Cessna 172 until I get familiar again with the correct procedures, etc.
