That's because you haven't told it to create a .pln file - add the line FSX_GPS to the [STARTUP] section...

thanks for your reply but I added the line and still no joy. I have also FSX to GPS ticked in the options box.

I really am starting to get frustrated now. is their anything else I could be missing? ( I believe all settings are now correct)

thanks in advance

Do you get any error message to the effect that the file can't be created? What version of FSBuild do you have? What OS do you have? If you are not running FSBuild "as administrator" you should do so; also make sure UAC is turned off. If you are running Win7/Vista, the PLN file should be created in C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files

Your FSBuild2.cfg file is full of old junk; remove or rename it and create a new one, resetting all your options. It should look like this (depending on what aircraft you are exporting to and what weather program you are using):

[FSBUILD]
AUTOREFRESH_DELAY=1
MAGYEAR=2005
AIRCRAFT=A319-111 w/ CFM56-5B5/P
SBPC_SERVER=www.vatsim.net
ROUTELINE=1
AUTOGEN_RTE_LIMIT=100
NATRAKURL=www.fsbuild.com/nat/pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/common/nat.html
NAVCHKDUPDIST=100
WEATHERPROG=ACTIVESKY

[MS-FLIGHTSIMULATOR]
FS_HOME=C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\MICROSOFT GAMES\MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X
ACTIVESKY=C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\HiFi\AS2012\Weather
AS_ABX_FLP=C:\USERS\(your username)\DOCUMENTS\AEROSOFT\AEROSOFTAIRBUSEXTENDED\FLIGHTPLANS

[FLY!]

[PS1]

[X-PLANE]

[STARTUP]
STEP_CLIMB
TOC_TOD
INCL_CROSSING_ALTS
CLEARMAP_BEFORE_BUILD
DISPRTEWPTSONMAP
WINDS_ALOFT
RVSM_FL
F1ATR72
FS2000_GPS
FSX_GPS
PMDG737NG
AUTOREFRESH_ON
LOADNATS

UAC is turned off, I always run as Admin and I am running Windows 7 and I know the pln file should be created in C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files and this folder exists but FSbuild still does not create a flight plan.

:? :? :? :?

my FSbuild is 2.4.0.18

I have created a new CFG file and now I cant even save a PMDG file as well. :roll:

OK, let me see the new config file and see what's what. Did you get the 2.4.x version from SimMarket and use their installer? If so, I seem to recall some issues with that and you might want to re-install your older version and use the 2.4.0.18 version posted here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3630.

You might try using the cfg file that I posted - just comment out the ACTIVESKY and AIRBUS entries. Other than that, if you got 2.4 as an upgrade, then re-install the earlier version and use the 2.4 upgrade that I linked in my post and see what happens.

That's odd... did you try this: "if you got 2.4 as an upgrade, then re-install the earlier version and use the 2.4 upgrade that I linked in my previous post and see what happens"?

Well, that removes one possible problem. Do you get an error message when you build a plan? If so, then what? A good screenshot (one I can read) would be useful.

The only way that the create file can fail is for that directory to not be present or for you to not have permissions to write to it. Make sure you run FSBuild from the right click menu item "run as administrator" and see if that works. I notice the PMDG file is being created now.

Thanks for your perseverance but the folder needed is there and I have permission as I always start the program as Administrator, and I find it strange that the PMDG file can be created but the pln not!
