I have just re-installed FSX on a new hard drive and also all my programs including FSbuild.
I just have one problem that I can't solve. My 'export to' choices do not "stick". If I select FSX and PMDG
for instance, next time it defaults to Google and ISG1.
How can I change this?

It you are running Win7 or Vista and have installed FSX/FSBuild in the 'program files...' directory you must turn UAC off and run FSX/FSBuild from the right click menu item 'run as administrator'. Then go to the 'Options|Settings' page and use the treeview options boxes to select/deselect your options and save them via the 'Save Config Options' button.

This post was able to help with the first problem I had. Doesn't make sense to have to go to two places to save one set of changes, but in any case that has been fixed.
The next problem with exporting is one I cannot designate the correct path to the directory I want and two FSBuild is pulling a path that I'm not sure how it obtained. I've included two screenshots. The first shot displays the two directories that I need the files to save. To be correct, the PMDG737NGX should be saving to D:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FlightPlans\NGX. Unless it is in the NGX directory it won't appear in the Co Route. The second shot shows where the files are placed when they are generated even though I've designated the files to be in a specific location.

So the question is, can you make it so I can browse and select the directory for my export....all of them and two, why does this export my PLN file to the C drive when I designated the D drive for all exports. I don't want my C drive used for any FSX applications or add-on. I am running Windows 8.1 and I have FSBuild update 2.4.0.31. No other applications are running when I am exporting and have experienced zero issues with any other FSX application.

FSBuild exports to the default installation folders for the add-ons you have selected, based on the path you selected for FS. The PMDG path is the default used by all PMDG aircraft, including the NGX. The NGX will, and does, load flight plans from this path as does the 777. The "d:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FlightPlans\NGX" path is vestigial - it was created when they had some idea of custom navdata and plans that was never implemented - I don't recall if the NGX/777 store plans there when saved from within the aircraft or not. But the NGX/777 will load from either directory.

The FSX plan is exported to the c: drive because that is where FS/FSX puts them regardless of what drive the application is installed on.

As far as "can you make it so I can browse and select the directory for my export?" goes; that's up to Ernie...
