I have recently downloaded and installed the product and have changed all file paths successfully.
I have also updated the nav databases in the application. Here are my issues:

1. For KDTW I am not seeing the PALACE SID
2. Selecting a different sid with JFK STAR shows several waypoints in the flight plan
3. When exporting that flight plan to my PMDG 737-800 there are only 3 waypoints displaying in the legs page.
4. I am unable to save the plan/route in FSBuild (does not appear in the list of flight plans)
5. The list of flight plans that comes with the product seems geared towards European customers, which is fine. I am wondering if there are a list of flight plans that I can download to populate my list.

Thank you so much for your help.

-Andy

1. You don't see the PALCE7 SID because it is a vectored SID with no predefined routes. To use it you can enter the waypoints of your choice per the charts. 2. I don't understand what you are trying to say... JFK has multiple SIDs and STARS. What is your problem? 3. If you are using the PMDG 737NGX you cannot import SIDs and STARS. If you are trying a particular route I need to know what the route is to try to help you. 4. You can save the current flight plan by using the menu; File -> save flight plan. Note: all flight plans that are generated are saved in the category "Logged Routes". 5. If you go to the FSBuild library 'flight plans' link you will go to a page with numerous routes to download. Most are out of date. You are far better off going to one of the numerous sites that contain flight plans and copying them to FSBuild for generation.

DJ: Thank you.

1) I will pick the waypoint/fixes for the departure. I forgot PALACE is a vectored SID
2,3) I entered a route and all the waypoints between the route appeared in the list, but when I loaded into the PMDG only a couple were there. I am going to review the 2 tutorials and use a real world route as you suggested.
4) Understood. I was looking in the wrong folder. I will double check that tonight
5) I will use FlightAware to copy the routes of actual flights as a starting point for using FSBuild.

Thank you again for your help.

Andy,

PMDG (like 737NG) will delete SIDS and STARS if you try to import them as part of your FMC route.

Thanks Vaughan.

So my best bet would be to paste a route into FSBuild, finish developing the route/flight plan there and then manually
enter the information into the FMC pages correct?

Right.

I get the DTWJFK route from FSBuild the had punch the PMDG FMC.

Then, you can save it from the FMC and it will load from the FMC next time. It can read its own stuff ok as far as I know.

It is my understanding that pilots would like to see this SID-STAR importing fixed when PMDG does SP2 for the PMDG737NG ...

5. You can change the category to load the stored US flight plans.

Select Flight Plans item on the left , then select the 'category' tab.

On the lower left you'll see the category menu select the Main-2 (Deps J-K) category and it will load the US stored routes.

Thank you Vaughan and Ernie. I have made some notes and will hopefully give this a try this weekend.
Thank you again for your help.
