Hi Ernie,

I hope all is well with you and - yes - some people are still using your FSBuild software - talk about longevity - just goes to show you what a great tool you've built... We've certainly got more than our money's worth out of it - FS9, FSX, and now P3D... It works fine with P3D if you haven't tested it... If you ever offered an update with some new features - I'd certainly be interested and more than willing to pay for it... I've looked at other software packages for flight planning and they are either overkill or don't do enough - you've got just the right temperature porridge...

So - I might be wasting my time - but if you ever get the itch to work on FSBuild again - just a couple of suggestions from my experience building Aircraft Profiles...

In the PRF files - include variable TAS with the fuel consumption - while I know you already have variable fuel consumption by weight - there is only a single defined TAS for all weights... I have manufacturer tables that have TAS changing significantly by weight along with fuel consumption...

A pretty standard manufacturer practice - is to use "time to climb/descend, fuel used, distance" tables to plan for the climb/descent... Allow FSBuild utilize this standard data practice... Now I convert everything to match the FSBuild data format but that just introduces more errors to the equation...

Provide a clear indication when max fuel is exceeded for the aircraft... Currently only overweight conditions are denoted...

Include a table for "minimum runway required" for aircraft at the given weight, altitude, temp referenced in flight plan and append info to navlog... Both takeoff and landing...

Add TOLD/V-speeds append to navlog...

Include climb speed schedules at given weights/altitudes append to navlog...

Anyway - just some thoughts...

Regards,
Scott

Thanks scott for ther suggestions.

I don't think there will be a version 3.0 anytime soon. I'm not currently in the position to dedicate the time required for such a pursuit.

But there might be some small updates in the future, time permitting. Especially with a new version of FS on the horizon.
