You shouldn't have gyro drift on an aircraft that has an EHSI. You can edit this in the particular aircraft's aircraft.cfg file.
[direction_indicators] //1 Type: 0=None, 1=Vacuum Gyro, 2=Electric Gyro, 3=Electro-Mag Slaved Compass, 4=Slaved to another //2 Indicator number of slaving indicator if Type = 4 direction_indicator.0 =3, 0
Go with electro-mag slaved and your problems will be solved. Then your Cessnas (etc.) will still suffer from gyro drift, and you won't have to fiddle with your sim setting every time you fly.
Basically, you upgraded the avioncs from a system that was vacuum operated, to an electric system (ie the ISG FMS, EHSI), therefore the aircraft.cfg file needs to refelct that.
