Hi Ernie,

I recently made the switch from DX9 to DX10 preview mode. All works very well except at night in the VC.

I performed several google searches and several DX10 searches of the boards here and found no answers.

Again Eaglesoft Beech Jet 400 XP, as well as SteveFX Scenery Shader Fix.

ISG1 A320 EADI

The main problem is the left speed tape is not showing correctly yet the altitude shows correctly.

Before I do a lot of testing and adjusting and what not, I thought it might be handy to ask you if the gauges are even DX10 preview compatible. I assume they are, as they work well so far accept for this. All works well at night in 2D just great.

Funny.

I read the install instructions and really thought I had placed the gauges with the proper sizes as they functioned properly in day modes. On a hunch I went back and sized them to a smaller value (thank goodness for FS Panel Studios). Here is the result. Feeling sheepish but glad they work.

For anyone else reading this desiring to retrofit other VC cockpits, here is what I was told.

You can do anything you want to a 2d panel in so far as changing bitmaps and gauges to suit your tastes and needs.

You CANNOT do that for the VC. You will need the source code of the model in order to really perform a retrofit. You can work with gauges and make sure they fit into know areas that work in the VC as I did above. You will be limited though on gauge size and position.

This is correct, for VC's you can only use the gauge surfaces placed by the model designer, so normally you are limited to only replacing gauge locations already in the VC.
