Hi Ernie,

I love your new ISG1 gauges very much!!!

I have a question regarding the FMC:

I use your FMC in some turboprops and the default Learjet (I created the lear-panel with your template).

When I have a look on the "PLAN" pages of the FMC, I see in every case a remaining flight-time of "1:30 hours" and a range of about 300-500 nm. If I use an aircraft with much more fuel on board, I will see the same values ("1:30 hours" and about 400 nm range). I would assume that I see some larger values in an aircraft with larger tanks. I would like to add an example: I have 8000 lbs fuel onboard and I have a FF of 2x1000 lbs/h. I assume that I have fuel for 4 hours in this case, but the FMC says "1:30 hours".

Is this a bug or do you have a workaround for this problem?

Best regards

Kalle

Hi Ernie,

I found a second problem with the FMC:

I tried to set the FlightPlansFolder option in the ifg.cfg, i.e. I set it to: c:\\dokume~1\\user\\eigene~1\\flight~1

---------- snip

FlightPlansFolder=c:\\dokume~1\\user\\eigene~1\\flight~1

(I made sure that this folder exists!)

---------- snip

I can load the flightplans of my FS2004 now with the MCU, but the FS2004 crashes every time, when I try to open the FMC. (I get an error in the "kernel.exe" module.)

I tried to write the folder name in any other way (long folder name, without two "\" etc.), but I don't have luck, i.e. FS2004 crashes every time when I try to open the FMC.

However I can use the FMC with your default path, if I don't set the FlightPlansFolder option.

Regards

Kalle

It should only be slash for the path delimeter '\' not two.

But send me your isg.cfg file (with the full path and only one slash delimiter), and I'll try to re-create the problem here.

As far as I recall, the FMC does not try to read the flight plans list until you press the 'FPL' button. So this could be caused by another setting.

Another possibility could be too many files in the folder. I think there's a limit of about 200.

But I'll look into it.

Regards.
Ernie.

Looks like it was a test value I hardcoded during Beta but forgot to take out (surpised no-one noticed it until now though).

I'll put it on the to-do list to fix in a future update.

Regards.
Ernie.

Hi Ernie :D , I had noticed it, but though it was something I was doing wrong.

In that spirit, here is something else I noticed on recent flights. Often the predicted time of waypoint passage on the NAV page occurs in the past. Look at this screenshot, notice the current time is 17:31 and the FMS is predicting waypoint ERWEN at 17:26. If fact, just after I took this shot, the FMS revised ERWEN passing to 17:25.

In the FPL page everything looks OK.

And here are two from the VC just to show how nicely the gauges blend into the panel (thought my day panel still needs some work!). Great work Ernie, thanks for a very nice package.

Ok I found this problem, I will include the fix in the next update.

Thanks,
when you're completed with that Falcon setup you have, send us the panel and aircraft .cfg info and we'll make a template out of it and post it on the site.

Regards.
Ernie.

when will you publish the next update? Will you fix the fuel/FMC problem that I mentioned, too?

Regards

Kalle

Probably in a week or so (no promises). I'm working on a Navdata update now, so sometime after I complete that I'll finish work on the update.

The problem mentioned is already fixed on my side.

Regards.
Ernie.

Have this been fixed in the 1.3 patch?
