I hope this isn't taken as an attack, however as we buy FSBuild I would believe that we have a contract, and the list of features listed on SimMarket.com says:

NAVDATA

1.Database of SID's and STAR's, and Airways, Airports and Navaids included.
2.Preferred arrival and departures routings included for many airports (user customizable).
3.Complete High and Low alt Airways database.
4.US Socal TEC routes
5.US and Canada Preferred IFR routes.
6.VOR's, NDB's, and Intersections, and Airways databases will be updated every Airac cycle via Richard Stefan's Navdata service.

I understand things change and commitments may not be able to be meet, so would it be advisable to remove item 6 under NAVDATA.

No worries.

But I'd point out 'Richard Stefans' Navdata service no longer exists.

I'd point out back then even Richards Free service occasionally missed Navdata cycles (for site redesigns etc etc) also including several months when DAFIF was shut down prior to the final switch to Navigraph.

So there's no breach of the contract IMO

The best thing out of both world woud be:

Ernie provides new cycles whenver he has time and when it fits into the rest of his activities

AND

We get a tool, which converts one of the existing Navigraph data formats into the FSBuild format. Majestic Software provides now such a tool for their Dash, eliminating by this method the complaints about non-actual data.

So everyone can decide, if he wants always fresh new data by paying for them or if he uses quite actual data for free.

Of coure this must be adjusted with Navigraph, but Ernie could check, which agreement Majestic made for their converter.

Does this Conversion Tool do:
Navaid data:Routes, Fixes, Arports, Navaids
And also SIDs/STARs?

And, just to verify.
The Conversion tool is for FSBuild's database for flight plans generation.

I know they have a Conversion tool for their Dash 8's FMC using Navigraph data.

Hi,

The tool is only for Majestic and includes SID/STAR.
What I sugggest is to implement a similar tool for creating the FSBuild data files. It doesn't exist yet.
