Hi Ernie, im having problem to export my flight plans to fs9, i have set the fs home in the options, exports directory, and save teh settijgs according to the tutorials, i just reinstall in a fresh windows 7 32 version, but im not able to make the exports, i receive a message "unable to create fs2000 file c:user/tugo/documents/flight simulator files/mmmd-mmun.pln", i have set manually in the fsbuild.cfg the path for the flight plans, but when i restart fsbuild stays the same problem, and when i open the .cfg file again, the path is gone and the only one that stays is the FSHOME one, do you have any suggestion'? i tried everything and its weird because this is the 3rd time of reinstall and im having this issue this time and in the past everything works fine, thanks for your time.

Post here the contents of your fsbuild2.cfg file.
Can you edit and save the your file using Notepad?

What is the path to FS9 and FSbuild folders?

Maybe FSbuild cannot "write" in the FS9 flight plans folder / FSBuild folder?.
We can test ...

Hi tugo31,

Hum... UAC and all that stuff maybe? It is advised to not install any software ever that needs to communicate on a network inside the Program Files. You'll probably gonna need to mess with Windows Protection settings to make this work, or, better than that, If you just installed FS and don't have a lot of addons installed yet, just uninstall it and re-install it anywhere but Program Files. The same goes to any other software on Win7/Vista.

But let's wait and see what von has to say, he knows way more than me.

regards,

Igor

"Yes, i manually type the path where the flight plans are stored, save the .cfg and still the same problem, but when i open the .cfg again the path i wrote is gone."

Originally, as a quick test, that is what I wanted to see ... how you modified the file.

Use Notepad to change your cfg file and save it.
Do not start FSbuild.
Now, open the cfg file with Notepad.
Is your edited file still there?
Post the edited file contents here.

"Problem solved, i just reinstall on c:fsbuild"

You mean C:\fsbuild.

"and manually typed the path for saving the flights, be aware to type the path correctly, thanks for all your help.
"FS2004 _PLN=C:\Users\TUGO\Documents\Archivos de Flight Simulator"

Yes. that is why I wanted to see the cfg file contents.

Anyway, glad you are up and running.
