Hi,

I've recently dowloaded update 2.4.0.18 from my previous fsbuild version 2.3.1. However, when I go to build a route, the sids and stars as well as some waypoints are still outdated. Also, under the aircraft folder, I don't see the PMDG 747 listed - which is the aircraft I use. I looked in the FSBUILD folder to see what folders were updated, which are 6 MGB files. However, when I go to the help tab, click "about fsb" to see what version I'm running, it's still listed as ver 2.3.1
I also notice that the navdata folder in fsbuild isn't updated.
What am I missing? BTW, I'm new to fsbuild.

Thanks,
C

How did you update - with the installer from Simmarket or with the file from the link on this forum? Whichever, it sounds as though the update was not properly installed - if it were you would see the correct build number in the title bar of the application and the "about" box. The navdata lives in the main FSB folder - not a separate navdata folder, and is not the latest AIRAC. The only navadata folder should read "navdata - backup" if you installed a new AIRAC from Navigraph; otherwise, there will be none. If you are running Win7, make sure you run the installer for FSB and the AIRAC (if you got a new one) from the right click "run as administrator".

You can download the PMDG data here: http://www.fsbuild.com/aircraft_performance.html and install it.

I updated with the link on this forum. The build number shown in the about window is 209. I haven't installed the new AIRAC because I have no idea where/how to update it through FSBUILD. The FSBUILD interface doesn't show a link or tab that points me to the navdata folder. So since it sounds like the update didn't install properly, what should be my next course of action? Would the update still work on fsbuild 2.3.1 version? Or do I need the latest version prior to the update in order for it to work? Thanks for the link to the pmdg download.

I was able to upgrade fsbuild to the 2.3.7.2 version. However, I still can't get the 2.4 upgrade to work...even though it seems to download properly. I was also able to update the aircraft files to include the PMDG 747.

After some troubleshooting, I finally was able to get the update to work. I ran the update application as an administrator. I'm still trying to figure out how to update the navdata to a more current AIRAC.

Just checking here. When you run the AIRAC update you only have to point it to the FSBuild directory and not a particular sub directory correct? Also how can you tell an update was successful as I have been unable to find the answer to these two questions? I do see a directory that says NavData-Backup but looks like old txt files from the cycle that ended 19Sept. It's creation date shows as the time close to when I ran the "rebuild map Database" after updating the latest AIRAC cycle. Thanks.

That's correct - you point it at the primary FSBuild directory. In the same directory is the file cycle_info.txt which will give you the cycle version.

Location: Germany, 18 nm north of EDDL
You also can start FSbuild, go to Help => About Fsbuild, and you will see the active cycle in the info box.
