Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

Greetings all,

I just tried running a flight plan thru FSB, using the PMDG MD11. This was the response.....obviously, there's a problem with the planned fuel load. How do I correct this? Many thanks.....Ron

You need to search the forum for "MD-11" or "MD11" and download and use the profile you'll find in one of the threads - if you do, you'll see something like this:

The culprit would probably have to be the performance file (.prf)

Post that file, and we'll take a look.

I posted it just before you had responded. Is that what you meant, or did you need something else?

Hmmmmm, this is interesting. I searched for .prf files, came up with many options (all in the FSb/aircraft folder). I see one for the default MD11, but none for the PMDG ones. That might explain it right there. Now what?

OK.....but I thought the PMDG .prf file had different numbers, more closely resembling the actual performance data.

Ok - I had to do some research on this because there are several MD-11 profiles floating around out there. For the one you are after, go to Flightsim.com and search the library using the term "Schleipen" and it will come up. It is explicitly for the PMDG GE engined plane...

Found and downloaded that file. I actually already had a similar item pasted to the bottom of my existing fsb_aircraft file. It was also by B. Schleipen, and had 2 variations (pax and freighter). The numbers in my existing files were close to the new one, but not exact. The obvious issue was that I didnt have that .prf file.

Aren't the numbers different for the pax and freighter versions?

The numbers should be somewhat different, but the profiles are good enough for our purposes since the engine specs and aerodynamics are identical for the PMDG models. If you want to be a bit more accurate, you can add about 20000 pounds to the ZFW shown in FSBuild when you use the freighter.
