Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

I created the following plan in FSBuild:

HECA CVO A727 AXD UL617 TANSA UL613 ALANI UM601 KFN UM872 LUXIL UL995 TEA UZ803 RIFFI RIFF3A LIRF

FSBuild then exported it in the rte format to my PMDG Flight Plans folder. I renamed it from HECALIRF.rte to HECALIRF001.rte.

I loaded this flight plan in the FMC by calling CO ROUTE HECALIRF001. Everything appeared to be fine. I saved the flight and shut down FSX. Later on, I reopened FSX, loaded the saved flight and then I got the following error message:

"Destination Airport not found in .rte file. Import aborted."

I have run into this problem before, in fact every time I try to use a FSBuild flight plan since I got my new Win 7 64-bits computer. So I had taken the precaution of saving the flight BEFORE loading the flight plan. So I reloaded the "pre-FMC" flight and manually entered the same flight plan. I then resaved the flight and shut down. I reopened FSX loaded the flight and evrything was fine.

So it seems that the rte flight plan generated by FSBuild is corrupted. I am attaching the file for your perusal.

There was no plan attached to your message. Some things you might check in your environment: make sure UAC is turned off and run FSBuild and FSX from the right click menu item "run as administrator". Also make sure that you are running FSBuild 2.4.x and that the AIRAC version in FSBuild and the NGX match.

Have you tried exporting the flight plan from FSBuild without the RIFF3A STAR inserted?

Have a look at page 112 of the PMDG-737NGX-Introduction file, the section about External route export programs.

David, your suggestion worked! I rebuilt the plan in FSBuild without the STAR, and exported it to the NGX. Then loaded it into the FMC from CO ROUTE, manually added the STAR, saved, closed FSX, re-opened FSX and the flight, and bingo - no more problem!
