Hello, I changed my wether prog to ASE. Unfortunately I do not get the winds aloft data into my flightplan. The figures in flightplan are not the same I find in the WP list (Briefing) in ASE. This was working ok with previous ActiveSky perfect.
My setup is:
PC1 (XP64bit) with: - FS9 PS2 (XP Prof) with: - FSBuild (2.4.0.17 Build 266) - ASE (Build 547) All is running in my home network. I can access each PC from the other.
What is the filename FSB is looking for to get the wind aloft data? Which path should I select in the options of FSB for the weather? Every path I tried did not work. I used the local path to AES Base on PC2 and also the path to PC1 (.../appdata/hifi/weather). None is working now, but was ok with ActiveSky.
I found a thread with a workaround for this problem once, but could not find it anymore now.
Thanks for help
EDIT:
dope! I was using in the search AES and not ASE. Now I found the answer regarding the path, mine is correct, but still different figures for the wind. I made FP with FL240 and using only Airports as WP. This should give me identical wind figures in FSB and ASE briefing page. Unfortunately they are not the same. I use the same optimized profile for my LVLD in FSB as before. There I had very good fuel figures. Now I have bigger differences even whenm I feed the FMC with the wind data from ASE. This i don't understand really.
Anyway it is much better now
Thanks!
