Flight plan LIRF LIEE the SID for rwy 25 (screenshot) Navdata 1308 NavdataPro.

Does not build two of the waypoints properly.

Edit: I put wrong screenshot in first time ..sorry about that.

Interesting. I have no idea why FSB doesn't display these two points, but can say that the LIDO data and charts don't contain them as part of the procedure....

SOSAK 5R should contain REF726, RF701, and RF703 then SOSAK - which it does; SOSAK 5A should contain RF726 and RF703 only then SOSAK - the FSB data contains only RF726 for this one. Note that you are using SOSA5A in the plan and not SOSA5R.

I am lost.

Where do you see "Note that you are using SOSA5A in the plan and not SOSA5R."

And where is this one "SOSAK 5A" you mentioned.

Go to Eurocontrol and look at the plate for this SID and it will be clearer... SOSAK 5A and SOSAK 5R are the departures we are discussing. The coded version of SOSAK 5A is SOSA5A, the SOSAK 5R departure is SOSA5R. If you look at the grid it is not showing SOSA5R.ESISH, it is showing SOSA5A. When I enter the string "LIRF SOSA5R.ESISH LIEE" and press BUILD I get "LIRF RF726 RF701 RF703 SOSAK TIBER LIEE" which is correct.

This route agrees with Airac 1308 and the FSbuild SID database.

LIRF SOSA5R.ESI5H CAR LIEE

Do you agree ...?

However .. it omits the waypoint I mentioned in my first post and they are valid waypoints in FSbuild.

What do you get when you build this route ... the subject of my post.

I am not talking about what Eurocontrol here.

Should this route using FSBuild be missinf 2 waypoints?

From FSbuild SID:

SOSA5R /C248/UA 410 25 --- ---
SOSA5R RF726 --- 25 41.795472 12.218217 FO
SOSA5R RF701 2800+ 25 41.832628 12.131836 FO
SOSA5R RF703 --- 25 41.713158 12.141233
SOSA5R SOSAK 3000+ 25 41.620833 12.043889
SOSA5R.ESI5H TORLI 3000+ --- 41.596667 12.018333

Also, just for info .. I tried this :
When I enter the string "LIRF SOSA5R.ESISH LIEE"

It has a problem.

This guy is not in FSBuild: ESISH

Just for info:
This is a rwy 25 departure

No, FSB should not be missing the two waypoints for this route. All routes of the same structure have similar issues. As noted, I don't know why. Ernie will have to come along on this one.

DJ,

Ok.

Thanks for checking this out.

At least I know my PC is not getting goofie on me.

I was doing the MAddog (MD82) tutor flight plan with FSBuild (just testing) when I noticed things did not go together well.

I did not check any other airports in the area.

Have a good evening.

I will try loading the Quality Wings Avro today and see if the procedures are ok on the FMC.

Edit:

I now tested the procedure with the Flight Sim Commander flight planner.
It seems to be working correctly .. but I cannot look into the database itself to see what all is there.

Maybe I can try this Flight Sim Commander plan in the Avro also ..

A legacy feature, made for back before we had Navdata updates.

It will automatically select the version number on the SID in the database, this allowed users to paste routes with SID/Stars in them and not have to worry about having the exect version number of the Sid/Star, it would use whatever version of that SID/STAR is in the database for that runway.

It just so happens in this particular rare occasion, where the procedure it interprets the 'R', and the 'A' as version numbers (for the same rwy 25). It merely assumed 'A' which come first on the list was a different version number of the same Sid. Its rare but it happens on occasion, not every airport follows standard procedure naming conventions.

I have updated it to go through the entire procedure to check for a match. It'll take a tad longer build the route but if the procedure is there it should use it instead of assuming a its not there when detecting a procedure with the same name for the same runway.

http://www.fsbuild.com/dl/Fsbuild_24025_update.exe

Note: I didn't get a chance to do much testing to on this (so who knows what I may have broken in the process) so unless you need to use that particular Sid you probably don't need to download this update.

Regards.
Ernie.
