Hello Ernie,

Is there a limit to the number of plans that can be Batch Built as I get the following error returned:

Err: Variable str5 Size of 55 Exceeds Allocated Size of 50

Based on what you and another user reported, I'm pretty sure there is a limit. I have no idea what it is, but you might try 50 and see if that works - if it does, then try 51 and see what happens.

I got past that problem, my mistake on omitting part of the data.

However I then came up against ' Unable to open apts.txt file and MAGVAR TABLE WMM.COF

Perhaps it would help me to reproduce this problem if you could describe in detail exactly what you are doing. I have not seen this, although I have seen other 'interesting' behaviors when doing batch builds.

Further investigation indicates it's the number of entries been processed DJ.

I was trying an 'experiment' of processing the VA routes numbering 1200 in total :)

If I don't exceed 500 entries all is well, seemingly it doesn't matter if it's just one product or four as soon as the process gets over 500 it stalls.

Stephen,

Good data - there is another thread here that implies the same thing. Yours is the first explicit statement of that limit and that's very useful. Hopefully, Ernie will see this and weigh in.

The limit would be 3000.

The error code indicates the problem is with the STAR data.

So its a problem with the data rather than exceeding the number of routes.

In actually the batch build process is doing the same thing as a double click on the flight plan line in the flight plan list table.
It just repeats the process for each build. Its possible there could be some overlapping of data causing an issue.

I did fix something I saw could be a problem for v .28, give that a try and see what happens.

But this is not a feature a lot of people used, so it may not be worth it to spend a lot of time implementing a fix, if the 500 at a time workaround is sufficient.

Regards.
Ernie.

Thanks for the pointer Ernie, I'll strip out any STAR's and give it another run although all routes do process if broken down to 500 in number or less.

Thanks for the reply and certainly not worth spending much time on.

Stripped out the any remaining SID/STAR data and the build still fails at 503.

Attached a couple of images Ernie just for info really the first fault APTS.TXT followed by MAGVAR TABLE WMM.COF which becomes a loop.

EDIT: build v28 returns the same result
