Ernie I am having no luck installing the gauges into ANY aircraft in FS9. I went and bought FS Panel Installer and that returns so many errors it isn't funny. In the Template Installer Document it shows something completely different than what I see. (See photos) I can't find the template file that looks like the one in the PDF file anywhere in FS9.
FS Panel Shop couldn't find the bitmaps and the XML files on or in the Lear template that you provided. Right now I am so utterly confused I'm hoping you can shed some light on what went wrong and why. I am in awe of anyone that can design this stuff. I had NO-O-O-O-O idea that these gauges and panels were so complicated to make. I assumed they were just bitmaps or something like that. Hats off to you , Ernie!

I don't think you did anything wrong.

I think the problem is the posted template file is missing an important piece of information that's preventing the installed aircraft from showing on the aircraft menu.

Go to your 'FS9/Aircraft/VMAX RFP House Livery' folder.

Open the aircraft.cfg file.

Change the title= line as marked below (ie add the (ISG) text to the title).

Without that additional (ISG) text in the title you end up with two matching titles and unfortunately only one of them shows up on the Aircraft menu.

Then Save the aircraft.cfg file. Then go back into FS9.

Open the aircraft menu, and find the aircraft menu item that matches the items mentioned on the Template installer message box in your screenshot (ie Aircraft Manufacturer, and Aircraft Model).

If you use the template Installer, you don't need to use FS Panel studio at all. The template should have all the panel.cfg info.

WRT to FS Panel studio errors, you can ignore them, just keep pressing the OK button till you get past them. Not all panel.cfg settings are standard some generate more FSPS errors than others, but it usually doesn't prevent FSPS from open the file.

The real benefit of FSPS is being able to visually position gauges on a panel, so don't give up on that app is very usefull for editing panels and adding gauges to them.

I'll give it a shot doing the panels myself. Like you said, I might as well learn how to edit panels. If all fails, I'll know who to ask for help
