thanks for the detailed description.

I followed your steps exactly asnd was able to reproduce the problem. you're right its resetting the original cruise alt back.

I have implemented a fix, to test.

I also experienced the same issue in the beginning.

If your descending before your T/C and you edit your new planned altitude into the FMS, it actually reset its plan of descent from the planned cruise ALT
in the FMS.

Work around.

If you want to decend before planned BOD to a lower ALT for the next Waypoint.
Go to PERF INIT page and insert your new altitude in R1 (cruise ALT).
Then go to the LEGS page to adjust your speed if you want.

So if you are descending to a lower ALT before the FMS choice of descent.(Descending before the T/C indicator reach your plane). you have to Initiate the new lower ALT of your choice as your cruise LVL.

Thanks. TH. Changing the PERF INIT CRZ FL works for change of FL at the next WP. However, when I then change the IAS on the LEGS page, it re-sets the original CRZ FL.

I am not sure what is going on with this .
