Hi,

I am trying to install B77 PFD in my default FS9 B777. I am using the panel retrofit in ISG webpage, but the gauge does not show up. In fact it is not in the list of available gauges in fs9.

I noticed the announcement of upgrade version 1.6 which I understand includes this gauge but unfortunately when I go to my simMarket account they only offer upgrade version 1.5 which I downloaded with no avail.

I bought the original ISG1 in August 2008.

Hi Jorge,

Yeah - you should have a few entries in you SimMarket account and they should make it more clear...

Here is what I have - I think the top two are the new version - if yours doesn't have something similiar you may need some help from customer service...

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I have the same list of items in my account with simmarket so I dowloaded the ISG-FS9.exe, as you suggested, but the downloaded file is about 10MB, smaller than the 1.5 upgrade, and still B777 PFD does not show up. I guess this file is the original one and not the 1.6 update.

Do I have to contact simMarket or should Ernie do it to have the 1.6 update available?

Thanks Ernie for your comment, but then, am I doing something wrong? because I downloaded that file, ISG FS9.EXE, but the B777 PFD gauge does show up. I run FS Panel Studio and when it opens ISG.gau, the B777 PFD is not there.

Hi Ernie:

Followed your instructions and deleted the isg1.gau from fs9/gauges folder. Reinstalled the ISG-FS9.exe recently downloaded but no change, the B777 PFD is not there. The isg1.gau showing up now in the gauges folder has a size of 13,500KB and dated 8/8/2008.

Let me know if there anything else I can do.

You are right, file is outdated but that is the file that shows up when I install the ISG-FS9.exe which I just downloaded on November 20.

By the way, that is the date shown in the exe file, the date you download it.

Thanks again for your prompt replies.

I decided to do it all over again. Here is what I did:

Deleted all ISG1 files from both FS9 and FSX installations. Rechecked.

Dowloaded again the FS9.exe from SimMarket. Date on file 11/24/2010.

Installed FS9.exe. Checked and recheched installation path to FS9 folder.

Results:

No ISG1.gau file installed in FS9/gauges folder. Nor in FS9/isg folder

In FSX/gauges folder shows up isg1.gau folder with size 13,632KB and dated 7/29/2009
Also showed up file ISG1_TCAS.gau dated 12/5/2006. Also, interesting, all folders in FSX/ISG are dated 11/24/2010

My layman conclusion is that regadless my selection of FS9 folder, the installation program installs the FSX9.exe in FSX/gauges and FSX/isg folders.

Please let me know what can I do further.

Don't know if this helps, but could it be a registry issue?

I read elsewhere that there can be problems with both FS9 & FSX installed at the same time. There is a registry fix out there somewhere to fix the problem, but I don't know where. Google probably does, though.

This is the same for the FSX version @ simarket. The file is the old 1.4 and doesn't contain the PFD's or 1.6 updates! Just started using FSX and this drove my absolutly crazy trying to install and use the FSX version. Is this a simarket deal or ISG1?
