Hi,
After experimenting I found now a possible reason in my setup. If this is a general problem I cannot verify.
I have a setup with a FS9 PC and a notebook providing weather via ASE and FSUIPC/WideFS. Typically I run ASE first as I am planning the flight with the superb tool FSBUILD with actual weather. If I then load FS I am not able to load any aircraft with ISG gauges.
If I don't start ASE first but load FS and the aircraft with the ISG gauges first, then I am always able to load these planes without error. Maybe someone can check this. In both variants after loading there is much memory free. Also scenery complexity is no factor.
EDIT:
Again it didn't work some days later in the same combination :-( So it was clear, that Ernie's assumption, that memory is the problem, really seems to be the fact leading to this behaviour. After long thinking, about things I changed/tried during this period, I came across another possibility: For testing purposes I removed my 3GB switch of my boot.ini and for some hidden reason (I must have lost these small cells in my brain due to some beer) I forgot to reenable it after testing ;-)
I added this switch again - and at the moment I am able to use my ISG based aircrafts again - let's hope, that it remains like that. The only thing, which is curious is, that all memory monitors show, that there never is a lack of memory ...
