I have finally figured out how to add an RNAV approach and it works fairly well.

THAT SAID,

I have a question,

First, this is one of the approaches that has multiple IAFs that meet at one IF and then to the FAF. In other words it has a TAA http://www.jeppesen.com/download/briefbull/den00-a (for anyone who is new to building and understanding RNAV approaches.

So having a TAA my approach looks like this.

Atlanta Georgia Gwinnet County. KLZU

[KLZU]
25 RNAV MACEY IAF 3700 34.333402 -83.688633 ----
25 RNAV JELEX MACEY 3700 34.149052 -83.706405 ----
25 RNAV ZILOX IAF 3700 33.943055 -83.634691 ----
25 RNAV JOKLI --- 3000 34.069977 -83.738580 ----
25 RNAV ATUDE FAF 2800 34.021683 -83.856366 ----
25 RNAV RW25 MAP 1079 33.981736 -83.953495 ---- ------ --- FO

This is the basic approach, I have not finished the missed approach part of it yet but the basic frame work, works.

When I load the arrival (JRAMS) coming in from the South all works well and the FMS comes off the arrival (I usually have it come off at JRAMS as that is what is on the actual Jepp Plates. So it's JRAMS to ZILOX to JOKLI, ATUDE and the runway. Good.

Coming in from the North however odd things happen. If I am coming in on the AWSON Arrivial, the FMS wants to use ZILOX for the FAF. Why? It should be using MACEY. The work around is to manually insert MACEY but I should not have to do that.

Unless I have some sort of syntax error or logic error?

I put this together as close to the example in the literature as I could.

Thanks.

Just a little side note. Unless I did something wrong, it appears as if editing the isg_apps.txt file does not affect the FMS if one is using NAVDATA. I had to go to the apps.txt file (ISG\Navdata) folder and edit that file instead. Then my edits and approaches started to populate the FMS (Smiths).

Once I get this working rock solid, where then do we post the completed and tested approaches we build? I know the documentation says website. I checked. Did not see where to put the final update approaches. OR where to download them for that matter. Again I must have missed something.
