Hello Ernie,

I came across a problem using NavdataPro from Aerosoft whereby a waypoint name is been identified by FSBuild as a coordinate.

The waypoint identified as 5101N in airway L9 AIRAC 1306:

L9 0022 DVR 51.162622 1.359089 L
L9 0023 5101N 51.149722 1.625278 L
L9 0024 KONAN 51.130833 2.000000 L

On a flightplan build this leads to a misplaced waypoint in the route, PMDG entry:

5101N
5
L9
1 N 51.0001 W 1.0001 0
0
0
0

File comment: 5101N error

Just why the waypoint is identified at all I am not sure as it isn't the case in the UK AIP where the entry is a SignificantPoint Coordinates only.

Raised with Aerosoft and posted here for your info.

I see the same problem in this FSBuild route:

EGLL DVR 5101N KONAN EGGW

Thanks for the prompt update Ernie and I realize this was an Aerosoft created issue by lack of communication and parsing irrelevant data for the product.

An observation on where I enter a flightplan and select PM mode the first waypoint is dropped:

However on build all is correct:

I use FSbuild (v24022) and Flight Sim Commander to build a route with NavData Pro.

EGLL DVR 5101N KONAN EGGW

Results, FSBuild has misplaced waypoint:

But your entering 5101N in FSBuild as a waypoint?

There is a lot I do not know (technically) about programming.

What I did here was I entered this flight plan:
EGLL DVR 5101N KONAN EGGW

All I know is I got different results with two flight planning programs.

Convinces me even more that it is its an Aerosoft error.

The entry they should use is 5101E for that coordinate.

EDIT: enter 5101N in an FMC such as PMDG and you'll find the same position as FSBuild.

Like I said, technically, I do not know how FSBuild, iFly, Pmdg, Quality Wings, FSCommander handle data.
And aircraft FMS.CDUs may all use a different method to enter the same waypoint data .. I do not know all about this.
But, we are working here on building a flight plan ... do you have any idea how FSCommander gets it correct?

I would take it up with Aerosoft Vaughan as I don't don't know FS Commander at all, I assume its picking up 5101N incorrectly from the navdata provided.

The 5101N entry does not appear in the AIP for L9, LIDO require the point to be named for other purposes which FSBuild interpreted as a coordinate.

The fix supplied by Ernie is allowing the plan for me to be built correctly with a slight issue using PM.
