This is a new/old question. I am flying with both FS9 and FSX. I have just added the Maddog 2008 for FSX. I would like to prepare FSBuild flight plans, but the preset save location is in FS9 because that is the root folder I have chosen for the non-browseable flight plans...that is to say, where FS_Home is pointed.

Is there a way I can get my MD80 plans saved in the proper FSX folder (which should be ........Maddog2008\routes) instead of the default folder called.... Lago\Maddog\routes?

Since I do not have the aircraft installed in FS9, I get an error Unable to create Lago MD80 FMC file X:\\Maddog2006\routes, which makes sense because there is no Maddog 2006 folder.

Any help would be appreciated.

Create a folder in FS9 called maddog2006\routes When FSB compiles the MD80 route, it will create the route in c:\fs2004\maddog2006\routes (my FS is in C:\fs2004 yours may be different). Copy the created file to C:\fs2004\MADDOG2008\Routes and you'll be able to access it. Same rules apply for FSX. That's the workaround I use.
