Fsbuild-2 Flight Planner

Greetings all,

After being away from flight simming for a while, and after buying a new computer, I'm just getting back into things. I just used FSBuild to get a plan for KMSP-KORD, then tried exporting it to my PMDG MD11. I got what seems to be a correct pop-up ("created PMDG 737NG file C:prog files\MSGames\FSX\PMDG\Flt plans\KMSP-KORD.rte"), but it's not showing up in the PMDG folder. I'm have Windows 7. Here's a copy of the .cfg file:

I would assume I need to add something to the line below "MS-Flightsimulator", but what's strange is that the pop-up after building the file shows it goingto the PMDG folder. Any suggestions?

If Fsbuild says it 'created' the file, then its there.

I suspect the security on your system is not letting you see the file in created displayed in
Explorer.

Did you try to load the plan into the FMS using the CO Route' option ?

I tried playing around with this today, and this is what I've come up with so far:

I build a route from CYUL-EBBR. I got the usual pop-up (created PMDG 737NG file, created LDS file, created SB2 file, created Google maps file). I first checked Google, and the route showed up on that tab. Started FSX, loaded PMDG (MD11) and used the "coroute" option. Again, the route appeared, no problems as far as I can see.

I then tried the LD767, but nothing was found after I loaded the city pair. It looks like the route is not exporting correctly. I looked into the flight plan folder and there was nothing there (C\progfiles (x86)\MSgames/MSFSX\Level D sim\navdata\flightplans. It's strange that it's exporting to the PMDG folder (C\progfiles (x86)..........PMDG\flightplans) but not to the LD.

I'll check to see if it's exporting to SquawkBox later today.

Post a screenshot of your FSBuild "Results" (popup) screen.

"C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\MICROSOFT GAMES\MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X"

IMO, bad folder for FSX. Microsoft "owns" it.
I use Vista and put FSX here:
C:\FSX
(I own it)
And never had a problem.

Since I already have FSX in my program files (x86) folder, is there an easy way of moving it to C/FSX without causing multiple errors?

I assume you tried what Ernie posted (twice), correct?

Did you look inside your folders to verify the files are or are not really there?

Mine using MS Vista go here, fo example.:
C:\FSX\Level-D Simulations\navdata\Flightplans

Now the LD767 is ok. I've changed so many things on FSb that I've lost track. The only thing I want to fix now if the weather issue. I believe it has something to do with a line of code missing from the .cfg file. Probably the one from users/appdata/roaming/hifi/ase/weather. Obviously I'm not touching anything until I hear from you or Ernie.

One way to find the file/path/directory is to search your hard drive for:
current_wx_snapshot.txt

oooops...just found it. It was hiding in users/Ron/appdata/roaming/HiFi/ASE. Strange that I couldnt find the file under the "search" button.

Now that I've found it, what exactly do I need to do?
