Hello there,

I know this question has been posed many times before and I tried to find all the threads and tips around here, but
nothing helped :(

When I build a route, the Wind Aloft Data is not loaded; FsBuild only gives me 0's.

I have the correct path to Active Sky 6.5 where the weather snapshot is saved; I checked "ACTIVESKY" in the Settings and checked the "Wind Aloft Data"
Option.
I even re-installed both FsBuild and ASv6.5 twice now, always double checking the settings.
It still won't work.

I hope someone can help me, maybe I made a silly mistake somwhere ;)

Michael

EDIT: My FsBuild CFG-File reads as follows:

[FSBUILD]
AUTOREFRESH_DELAY=1
MAGYEAR=2011
AIRCRAFT=B747-400 PMDG
SBPC_SERVER=www.vatsim.net
ROUTELINE=1
NATRAKURL=www.natroutes.glideslope.de/html/nats.php3
WEATHERPROG=ACTIVESKY

[MS-FLIGHTSIMULATOR]
FS_HOME=C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\MICROSOFT GAMES\FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9
SB3_FP=C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\SQUAWKBOX
ACTIVESKY=C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\MICROSOFT GAMES\FLIGHT SIMULATOR 9\MODULES\ASV6

Any mistakes here?

I don't see any mistakes, but I gather that you are running a 64 bit system - probably Win7. If so, run ASV and FSB from the right click menu item "run as administrator" and see if that gets you your weather. If it doesn't then turn UAC off.

No, doesn't work either :( But yes, I am running a Windows 7 64-bit OS. UAC has been deactivated already.

Are you sure that is the correct path ?

What O/S are you using.

AS6 doesn't normally use the /Modules folder.

Regards.
Ernie.

Hi Ernie,

I have the very same issue - FSBUILD never uses the winds aloft - I believe this started when I updated to your latest...

I'm using your latest FSBUILD on Vista32 - with FS9 - and - AS6.5...

Mine is set to the "modules" folder as well - as that looks like where the weather files are stored...

Regards,
Scott

Hi Ernie,

I think ASv6 uses the Modules folder:

That is the folder I am aiming for, right?

That's the probem.

For ver 2.3 select 'AS6' as the weather program in the weather menu. The 'ActiveSky' name before Fsb ver 2.4 refers to the original WxRE version.

Regards.
Ernie.

Thanks a lot!!! It works now :)

I must have overlooked the Active Sky 6 possibility since I was always looking for the "other" Active Sky in fsb... stupid :S

Again, thank you very much!!

Regards, Michael
