The easiest way to use the '"blue box"' or the blue 'Flight Plan' box as Bob alluded to.
Its an edit box you just enter the Id of the Navaids or Fixes and press enter. This too goes for lat/lon values, and Sid/Star, and Airway identifers.
As bob alluded to you can also 'copy/paste' entire coded routes into the 'blue' Flight Plan box (with a dep/dest) , and simply press the 'Build' button.
Then Press 'Build' (Not autogen), and you will see all the waypoints/Navaids with their names, and their locations will display along the route line on the map.
Example: Route Phoenix to Chicago
KPHX RIMMM1.ABQ ACH LBL J134 ICT J26 IRK BDF5 KORD
1) Take the entire text 'KPHX RIMMM1.ABQ ACH LBL J134 ICT J26 IRK BDF5 KORD' and enter it into the 'blue' flight plan box (or copy/paste it)
2) You'll notice the Departure and destination airports were filled in automatically, as well the runways and Sid/Star menu's were populated automatically.
3) Press the 'Build' button.
4) After the build is complete, you'll see the entire route listed on the table/grid, also the route is displayed on the map display.
5) if you wish to know where a particular waypoint is located on the route, click on its row in the table/grid and it will highlight on the map in red.
6) If you wish to change/edit a waypoint, the easiest way is to simply again go into the 'blue' flight plan box and manully edit the route waypoints. Then press 'Build' again (not autogenerate)
7) You can also edit the table itself, and force Fsbuild to build from the table/grid instead of building the route from the flight plan box.

9) If you wish to use lat/lon entries, again you can simply enter them into the 'blue' Flight Plan box just like other waypoints.

Also see the 'Latlon waypoint formats2.pdf' document in the Fsbuild/User Guides folder for more details on all the lat/lon formats supported by Fsbuild.
