Installed the patch.. The OAT settings still dont add up but it may be something I am doing wrong. So all looks good from departure from KMIA.

After setting CRZ speed to a higher setting and turning off then back on VNAV speed setting is correct but altitude dropped to 3000FT..

What does the cruise alt box on the CRZ page read. Maybe the cruise alt was changed for some reason.

Also the resulting spd display is lower in your example, but you said you made it higher.

I tried it so far, not able to reoproduce it so far though.

Regards.
Ernie.

I'm pretty sure the CRZ Alt was correct.. but its a little late to verify.

I set the CRZ speed to 295 which showed correctly on the main panel auto throttle.

It didn't show up correctly in the FMS.. I didn't notice that until I read your message.

Maybe I should reinstall ISG completely??

Ok ISG folder completely deleted with a reinstall of original purchase, patch 1.41, and the beta on top... Also installed the AIRAC update.

Same flight as last night. FSX with Accel pack installed and VAFS3.

Changing CRZ to 295 and patch 2 accomodates

When I look at LEGS this is what I see and plane descends..

Is it something with the OAT? That seems to work better after I ripped out and re-installed the ISG gauge directory...

With the latest patch I had better luck.

The LEGS page still showed 243/5000 but the plane maintained set speed of 292 (set within CRZ) and FL340.. It didnt descend.. Also a mach appeared next to speed in CRZ..

Here is a screenshot.

Hi Ernie,

I had the same thought as you and it appears that it is isolated to this panel. I flew a stock FSX 737-800 with the ISG gauges and had no problems at all.

Since this seems to be isolated I don't want to bother you with this. I will provide the info. and leave it to your discretion.

Thanks for all the help!!

So...

1) Which aircraft/Panel are you using ? (if its freeware, where can I get it ?)

747dlx7.zip
http://www.fsdome.com/showpage.php?url= ... nels_3.htm

2) Has this issue occurred while using other aircraft models ?

NO

3) Are you running any other add-on gauges in the panel ? (ie RXP weather, AS6 X radar etc)

Activesky

4) Do you have any other FS modules installed (ie those that sit in your FS/Modules folder) ?

FSUIPC and FSCopilot

5) Send me your panel.cfg file, for that aircraft you are using. Also send me your isg.cfg file, and if you are using the 5th parameter I need the isg/aircraft/(AircrafId).cfg file to that matches the 5th parameter in the panel.cfg file.

I will email these

6) How was the flight plan entered ?
- Was it loaded from the MCU ?
- Was it loaded from the flight plans list page in the Smiths FMS ?
- Was it manually entered via rte rte/legs pages ? If so please describe all the steps (and buttons you pushed) you did to enter the each route point.

Flight plan is loaded via FMS

6) Before the flight plan was loaded/entered, did you make any FMS settings or changes or turn on/off any modes ?

No

7) After the flight plan was loaded/entered, did you make any FMS settings or changes or turn on/off any modes ?

Changed some altitude settings for climbout. OAT is entered, Flaps, V1, Vr, V2

8) At what point did you actually enter the crz spd change that resulted in the bahior you see (ie before takeoff after takeoff, after TOC, during cruise xyz nm fronm xyz wpt) ?

CRZ speed was changed after TOC

9) Was the autpilot on, if so what modes where set (ie were LNAV, and VNAV on) if so when where these modes turned on ?

LNAV, VNAV, HDG, SPD, AP

10) What OS are you using, WinXP or Vista ?

WINXP 32bit

Regards.

Hi Ernie,

I don't know, if You have solved the problem at the meantime, I just want to tell You ,what happens at my Smith FMS with the targetspeed :

When I load a flightplan, the cruise-speed is set to 255 at the FMS. As I try to change the target speed at the cruise page to 320 and I push the EXEC-button, the targetspeed drops back to 255 at the display.

In flight, I can increase the speed by the IAS of the autopilot, but when I reach a waypoint, the IAS drops down again to 255. This happens at every waypoint.

Hope, that helps You.

Kind regards
Dietmar
