A little tease to wet your appettite for the next full ISG update.

They'll be at least 4 new gauges.

Trimble 2101 GPS (also called CUGR GPS), something that was about 75% completed, intended originally for ver 1.0, but was never finished. Will be completed for the 1.5 Update.
Image

DU 1000 style EHSI Unit, modeled after the version used on the A300,A310, F70, and F100.
Image

Honeywell MD11/B717 style Navigation Display.
Image

Sperry FMS , they'll be two Sperry FMS versions, one for use with the DU 1000, and the other for use with the MD11/B717 style ND. The two FMS versions are very similar in functionality.

More to come on these modules, as the 1.5 project progresses.

This is still a ways away however, the next update will be ver 1.4.5, which will address most of the issues that have come up for ver 1.4.

Regards.
Ernie.

Great! Lookin forward to it! Especially the Honeywell MD11/B717 style Navigation Display looks great! and b.t.w: Is there any chance to improve readability of the gauges in the VC, if zoom and view distance to the gauges is higher?

Thanks, lets hope the final result turns out as well.

Try increase the pixel_size= parameter in the panel.cfg, it may have an effect in some cases.

But there will be a cost to this, it may require you to resize and reposition the other VC gauges to compensate for the new pixel size, as all the VC gauges will be affected by this change, and you may also have a reduction in frame rates.

The examples below is from the default FS9 737-400 VC, where I increased the pixel_size from 512,512 to 1024,1024.

[Vcockpit01]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=512,512
visible=1
pixel_size=512,512
texture=$737_1
Image

[Vcockpit01]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=512,512
visible=1
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$737_1
Image

Notice the improvement in clarity on both the ISG ND, and the default 737 RMI.

But also notice the drop in the frame rate.

Regards.
Ernie.

Thanks,
Yes, I do pretty much everything except the TCAS, and the bitmap artwork.

A guy named Marco Doelling does all the background artwork for us, the TCAS in ISG1 is a licensed version of Lee Hetherington's freeware TCAS.

Regards.
Ernie.

Those new gauges will make me sooooo happy!!

Great job Ernie..

I will have to test out the pixel size change.. That looks nifty..

Thanks neil,

I tried it on several VC panels this past weekend. Some it worked and some it did not. I think it may have something to do with the bitmap resolution used in the VC model itself as to how much effect this will have.

Regards.
Ernie.

Yeah the pixel resize trick didn't work on my Eaglesoft CJ1 VC, but I still have to popop window option :D Haven't tried it on any other aircraft jet, but I will do some further test this weekend with other aircraft. At the end it isn't the main factor, if using the gauges, but indeed an inprovement.

Looks great, I can't wait! I've got a plane/panel just begging for me to drop some of these into.
